I rented a spot at Navy Studios in the Brooklyn Navy Yard for a while, hence the name of this project. I shot a lot of other projects there, many of them named differently on this very site.
Navy Studio has a brick floor that has become smooth with use. The bricks are scratched and covered in paint and stains. It's so distinctive that I can easily recognize the floor in editorials. The studio had a weird light I never liked.
Out the window you looked down on New Lab, where the NFT platform OpenSea is based (for better or worse (worse)).
I always wanted to be in New Lab, working on new, exciting things, instead I was here, at Navy Studio, battling the strange light.
